  • communication: 30 km south of Alicante airport, appr. 50 km north of Murcia airport (San Javier).   Guardamar is located appr. 35 km south of Alicante city and12 km north of Torrevieja. 
  • Climate: Spains climate in general and Costa Blanca in particular is specially pleasantly: warm winters, mild summers and more than 300 days of sun throughout the year gives the Costa Blanca area a climatic condition which is ideal for year round-living. This "Micro-climate" is due to the seacurrents ashore combined with the mountainchain inside that drains the clouds from west before they reach the coast. The hughes salt industry is a proof itself on this favourable climate: You will not find those mountains of salt from the "salinas" wether north of Alicante nor south of Torrevieja! We also want to point on especially the natural environment of Guardamar del Segura which consist of three different ecosystems perfectly complementing each other making of it a  unique place in the Mediterranean coast. First: the dunes of Guardamar form a masses of sand from the deposits left by the Segura river and those from the sea are taken into the land by the east-coast wind (Levante). Second: The danger of the city being buried by the sand was avoided by a great work of reforestation initiated in 1900, contributing to the currently known pine forest park.  The third characteristic ecosystem is the mouth of the Segura river where the nautical club and fishing port are located and the traditional fertile field. 
  • Population and house prices:  The inhabitans living in our area, surrounded by small nice viallages (Guardamar, Rojales, Benijofar, Montesinos, San Miguel and many more), means access to a huge assortement of shops, farmacies, dentists, hospitals/casualty clinics and many other services throughout the year, and not only in the tourist season!  This also mean cheaper living cost, and much cheaper real estate /recidents than i.e. in the Costa del Sol area.  We also believe in bigger potential in the housemarked in Costa Blanca compare to the southern areas, just because of an expectance of equalizing of prices over time.  If this is correct, it means that prices in the near future will growe faster year by year compare to those further south.
